Det 847 Team!!!

I’m filled with a mix of emotions — gratitude, reflection, a touch of sadness, and a deep sense of appreciation. Departing the fix is not easy because leaving a place that has shaped me so deeply — both professionally and personally — is never simple. Leading in this organization has been one of the greatest honors of my life. To be part of something bigger than myself, to work alongside people who bring heart, integrity, and brilliance to the table every single day — that’s a privilege I’ve never taken for granted. You’ve challenged me, supported me, trusted me, and taught me.

Leadership, to me, was never about titles or authority. It was about service & about showing up, listening, creating space for others to grow, and learning from failures just as much as success! And every step of the way, I’ve grown because of you — the Team (always capitalized) & the culture we built together.

I want to say thank-you — sincerely to all! To those who believed in me, who gave honest feedback, who ran toward hard problems with me instead of away from them — you made me better. And to those just beginning their journey here: lead with boldness.
-Be bold & lift others. Protect what makes this place special. You are more ready than you think!

Though I’m moving on, this experience, these relationships, and the lessons I’ve learned — they come with me. I’ll always be cheering for You, always be proud of what Det 847 accomplished, and always be grateful for the time we shared.
So, this isn’t goodbye to what was…it’s basically thank-you for everything — & here’s to what’s next. I assure you; you’re in great hands with Lt Col Starkey & Cadre.
