It's time to cast your vote! No, not in the presidential election in the U.S., but in something far more important: the election of a new Member-at-Large for the Aphra Behn Society.
We are tremendously fortunate to have so many people willing to contribute to the administration of our Society. Many thanks to the candidates and to those who nominated them.
Please vote for ONE candidate for Member-at-Large. Send your ballots to Dr. Karen Gevirtz, Executive President, at Karen.gevirtz at shu.edu<mailto:Karen.gevirtz at shu.edu> by October 25, 2012. The term begins November 1, 2012.
MEMBER-AT-LARGE
A Member-at-Large is a general representative to the Executive Board, contributing to the overall administration of the Society. He or she can initiate discussion on issues of interest to the Society and is expected to discuss, vote, and act on such issues, such as changing membership dues or choosing a site for the biannual conference. Members-at-Large are expected to attend Aphra Behn Society events if at all possible, including our biannual conference and ABS panels at ASECS, and to participate electronically in the administration of the Society.
