Hello, Aphra Behners,

It is a tremendously exciting fall season for the ABS, with our biannual conference coming up this month. The Aphra Behn Society is partnering with the Canadian Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (CSECS) and the Northeast Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies (NEASECS) in a conference at McMaster University, October 27-29, 2011: http://www.humanities.mcmaster.ca/~csecs/. If you are planning to attend the conference, you can renew your ABS membership when you register for the conference.

The Aphra Behn Society annual meeting will be held on Saturday afternoon, October 29, 1:15-2:15 in the Beckett Room. The meeting is open to the membership. I not only invite but encourage all members to attend, to meet the officers of the Society, and most importantly, to contribute to the discussions of upcoming initiatives and events.

If we won’t have the pleasure of seeing you at the conference, I hope we shall see you at the ABS panels at ASECS in San Antonio, 2012.
