Subject: SC Public Library Summer Reading Program

 

The Schleicher County Public Library is looking for help--group leaders,
game leader, readers, and help with crafts.

Contribution to organizing the program is a possibility, if this is
needed for work/class/volunteer experience. 

 

Summer reading program:

*Ages 5 and older:  60-80 children in 4 groups of 12-20 kids, 4
stations: story time, checking out books, games, and crafts

*Middle school program: new this year, together they will compete in
games, eat, and learn about what the co library offers (ex: eBooks,
DVD's, etc.), middle school students may attend both programs

 

When: 

4 Thursdays, June 20, 27, July 11, 18

ages 5 and up--9:30-11:05, workers arrive at 9:00

middle school and up--1:00 to 2:00 or 2:30, workers arrive at 12:45

Help with one day, two, three, or all four days and help with one or
both programs would be greatly appreciated.

 

Where:

Schleicher County Public Library

201 South Main, Eldorado, TX 

The cement slab and gazebo across the street and the 4-H kitchen next
door is also used.

 

Goals:

Inspire kids to read, especially during the summer

Showcase what the county library offers

Encourage kids to become familiar and comfortable with the county
library to increasing future visits and use
