Hello Everyone,

I hope mid terms went well for everyone. Now that school is in full swing we
have a lot coming up within the next few weeks.

   - On Wednesday October 26 it is disability awareness day. This will take
place in the UC from 11:30am-1:00pm. I am happy to announce that our Peace
out to the R word bracelets are in and we can start selling them at
disability awareness day. I have attached the sign up sheet that you all
signed for this event. If you have signed up for a time and will not be able
to make it please let me know so I can make alternate plans, and if you have
not yet signed up but are free for a certain time, please come along and
join the fun. The more the merrier!

   - On Thursday October 27 is the Jim Bass Ford Fall Festival. It is from
5:00pm-8:00pm. At the fall festival we will have three booths; face
painting, photo booth, and spook house in a bottle. We need as many people
for this even as possible. Just as a reminder we need people to please
donate candy for this event. Dr. Evans will have a box outside of his office
where you can drop off the candy. For the spook house in a bottle, we are
mixing oil and water with Halloween confetti in plastic water bottles. So I
am also going to ask you all to please save your water bottles and leave
them at Dr. Evan's door. We need as many bottles as we can collect. We are
encouraging everyone to wear their Halloween costumes to the fall
festival. I have attached the sign up sheet that you all signed for this
event. If you have signed up for a time and will not be able to make it
please let me know so I can make alternate plans, and if you have not yet
signed up but are free for a certain time, please come along and join the
fun. The more the merrier! Jim Bass is really looking forward to having us
there and I would like us to make the biggest and best impression we can!

   - On Friday October 28 will be our Lakehouse Social. It is from
6:00pm-10:00pm. Remember it is a potluck so remember to bring the items you
signed up for. This will be a great opportunity for you to market yourself
to teachers in the district as well as gain knowledge about Special
Education from the people who are currently in the field. Also we have
opened this event to everyone so you may bring friends and family to this
event. If you know any teachers in the district that you think would like to
come please extend an invitation to them.

We are still taking pre orders for our campaign against the R word shirts so
start selling! I want as many pre orders as possible by the next CEC meeting
which is November 3rd!!!!! Our campaign bracelets are also in so start
selling those. You can find order forms for these on the CEC bulletin board
across from Dr. Evans office, and I am attaching a copy to this e-mail.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to e-mail me; kstone7 at angelo.edu,
