Hi everyone,

 

First off, I'd like to apologize for the lack of information regarding this months meeting. However, due to there being not a whole lot going on this summer and a few of the members being out of town anyway, I can just pass some info to you over email.

 

Firstly, following this message is the information regarding another Sonora trip on the weekend of the 13 (next saturday). If you would like to be sure to get with anyone else who may be wanting to go and then send me an email or call 417 230 9450. This will be another weekend camping trip.

 

Next there is an opportunity to go out to a couple of great caves in New Mexico but I don't have any pending dates, which may be better. The person in charge of these caves wants help doing some resto work (eg scrubbing some walls deeper in the cave) and I think this would be a good opportunity for anyone who would want to go. Her name and email are listed at the bottom of this email. 

 

Lastly, near the end of the school year there was talk of planning our own trip which would mainly be a tour of a couple of the show caves in texas. We thought of starting here and hitting a cave on the way to matagorda beach (to camp for a night or two) and then hit another or 2 on the way back. I've talked to most of you in person about this, but I haven't gotten much info for when you would be able to go, and I would want to make sure that people would come to this before I go through all the paperwork with it. As far as what I know, some people won't be able to go during summer 2 or the later part of august. However, from what I've gathered, August 8th-14thish would be a good window for this trip. Anyway, please send me an email if your interested in this trip. If I can't get more than a few emails, theres really no way I can finish planning.
