Good evening Det 847,

If you have not already seen in the news, an Army ROTC detachment in Virginia was victim to a gunman this morning that killed 1 and wounded 2 more.

Up Front: San Angelo is still at a low risk for activity like this. However, operational security (OPSEC) is of paramount importance when ensuring the safety of our detachment. With this in mind, the following is in effect until further notice from me or Lt Col Starkey:

  1.
Wear of civilian attire is mandatory to official AFROTC functions/PMTs (business casual for AS class and LLAB, and civilian workout attire for PT)
  2.
For volunteer/recruiting events that require uniform/Det Polo wear, you will make every effort to transit to those events in civilian attire and change at the location.
  3.
Report any suspicious activity up your respective chain to cadre (for example: individuals approach you asking about specific times and locations of ROTC events)

If you have any questions or want to discuss one-on-one with cadre, please let me know.

Respectfully,
