Good afternoon, first & foremost exercise EXTREME CAUTION today(watch flooding) if & when you are outside.  I called our ASU Emergency Management folks today & as of right now classes are not cancelled however I made it a point to re-look into this issue.

Also, if for some reason you are unable to travel due to flooding please do not press the issue and get your self in a situation you aren’t able to get out.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING. THE WARNING INCLUDES SAN ANGELO AND TOM GREEN COUNTY.



NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE WARNED AREA.



RUNOFF FROM THIS EXCESSIVE RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLASH FLOODING TO OCCUR. CREEKS...STREAMS AND LOW WATER CROSSINGS WILL BE ESPECIALLY SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE DANGERS OF FLASH FLOODING.



DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF FLOOD WATERS. ONLY A FEW INCHES OF RAPIDLY FLOWING WATER CAN QUICKLY CARRY AWAY YOUR VEHICLE. TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
