Cadets,

This is an ODT open to all cadets.

There are some specific requirements. Read the Execution Plan and see if you qualify.

Before you submit an application you MUST get approval from the Commander.

The Nuclear Science and Engineering Research Center (NSERC) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency
(DTRA) are offering a summer internship to interested cadets. The NSERC internship provides a multidisciplinary,
Joint Force program with the purpose to enhance Department of Defense capabilities, provide
the next generation of military officers with counter weapons of mass destruction experience, and better
prepare future military officers to lead, fight, and win on a battlefield involving weapons of mass
destruction.

DTRA has provided 10 AFROTC cadet allocations and will make all final internship selections. Interested
and eligible cadets have until 31 Jan 2024 to apply. Specific training dates will be determined after
selection and based upon area of research. Cadets will be paid by DTRA for their participation in the
internship.
