[Betaalphapsi] Service Hours & Sign-Up Intructions

Hi members,

I’m reaching out because I know there has been a lot of discussion and
confusion regarding service activities. This will be the final
communication addressing service requirements. Moving forward, if any
questions or concerns come up, please direct them to me, not our advisor or
other officers.

To ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to meet the requirement, we have
added two additional service opportunities. I’ll be honest, this was
disappointing to implement, as I know how strong our chapter is, and I
expected more initiative when it came to completing service hours. That
said, we’re moving forward with clear expectations.

Please read the following carefully:

   There are three new sign-up forms. You must sign up again, even if you
   previously registered. We will only be using the new forms.

   Each form includes full event details, please review them before signing
   up.
   -

   If you need to arrive late or leave early, note this in the additional
   comments section.
   -

   Volunteer hours will be tracked exactly and there will be no rounding
   unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Regarding the *BizPitch* event (April 16):


   -

   It is not included in the sign-ups at this time.
   -

   Once we receive confirmation from the SBDC on how many volunteers are
   needed, we will randomly select members who signed up for the other
   volunteer event on that same day to attend BizPitch.

*Important deadline:*


   -

   All sign-ups will *close Friday* (04/03/2026) at 7:00 PM.
   -

   If you have not signed up by then, you will not be eligible to
   participate.

*Final reminder:*


   -

   Failure to complete the 3-hour minimum service requirement will result
   in being marked as an inactive member of Beta Alpha Psi. This status should
   also be reflected accurately on your LinkedIn and resume.
