Members,

First of all, thank you all for a wonderful fall semester! This semester our chapter achieved the following successes:


  *   Seven new members joined the chapter
  *   Members volunteered over 100 hours in the Accounting Lab and students received more than 70 hours of free tutoring
  *   Officers successfully requested and received funding from the NVCOB for the annual mid-year meeting in February
  *   Four professional meetings were held with an average member attendance of 72.5%
  *   We partnered with the TXCPA for their Tour of Firms and September meeting
  *   Members enjoyed an end-of-year party and let off some steam before finals at the Axe House
  *   Six members are graduating this semester

Speaking of the Accounting Lab, the following students volunteered the most hours and will be contacted individually to receive their gifts.

In first place, we have Peyton Black, who seemed very competitive and logged an exact 34.00 hours to beat our second place volunteer, Samantha Fournet who logged 33.83 hours. In third place is Clayton Edmiston with 11.63 hours. In fourth place, we have Atalie Acosta with 6 hours. Finally, in fifth place we have Gabe Cate with 5.72 hours. Thank you all for volunteering your time to make our tutoring lab successful! You helped so many students better understand accounting and succeed in their courses.

If you're looking for another volunteer activity, the NVCOB is seeking volunteers to help with the graduation reception on Saturday.
