[Asualumni] Angelo State Realignment under the Texas Tech University System

Dear ASU alumnus,

 

The Board of Directors of the ASU Alumni Association has voted to endorse
legislation to move Angelo State University from the Texas State University
System to the Texas Tech University System.  

 

It is the goal of the ASU Alumni Association to keep all alumni educated and
informed on the progress of this movement.  Please visit
www.coalitionforasu.com <http://www.coalitionforasu.com/>  for more
information on the Coalition for ASU's Future, a group of organizations,
businesses and individuals in favor of the realignment.  The coalition's
purpose is to develop broad-based public support for Texas Legislature House
Bill 3564 and Senate Bill 1749.

 

1.	Stay Informed: On the website you can find links to recent articles,
including those that have appeared in The San Angelo Standard Times and ASU
student newspaper The Ram Page.
2.	Show Your Support:  If you agree with the proposition to realign
ASU, show your support at www.coalitionforasu.com/mail.html.  Supporters are
also asked to communicate with other ASU alumni and former students in their
area to enlist as much "signature" support on the website as possible.
3.	Contact Your Local Representative: Your local representative's name
and contact information can be found at http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/

proponent of the future success of Angelo State University, we encourage you
