[Aphra_behn_society] Call for Nominees

ELECTIONS AND NOMINATIONS

The Aphra Behn Society is looking for two officers to replace outgoing members who have served us long and well. The positions are described below. Both officers are expected to attend Aphra Behn Society events if at all possible, including our biannual conference and ABS panels at ASECS, and to participate in the administration of the society. Positions are open to all members, and this is a wonderful opportunity to become more active in a very collegial international organization.

Membership Secretary—responsible to maintaining membership rolls; works with president and listserv moderator to keep track of membership and support membership initiatives. As a member of the Board, the Membership Secretary also helps make decisions regarding the governance and administration of the society as a whole. No limit to term. We have a nominee for this position.

Member-at-Large-- As a member of the Board, members-at-large help make decisions regarding the governance and administration of the society. This is a three-year term, to serve from November 1, 2011-October 31, 2014. Renewable once. We have no nominees for this position.
