<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">Below is a <i>worthy</i> service opportunity that I hope you can share with our ROTC students. You, and they, can read more about the WHIT program below, but basically WHIT is a local non-profit that provides
free tutoring to foster children. I personally met with the staff last week and can tell you that their passion and commitment to our foster children is unmatched.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:14.0pt">They are needing <b><span style="color:#C00000">25 tutors</span></b><span style="color:#C00000">
</span>ASAP to support 25 foster students with tutoring for <b><span style="color:#C00000">1 hour/week,</span></b> until the end of school. That’s a commitment of
<b><span style="color:#C00000">ONLY</span></b><span style="color:#C00000"> <b>8 hours</b>
</span>from now until May 23<sup>rd</sup> when SAISD closes for the school year. I know many ASU students go home when the semester ends, but tutoring can also be done virtually. Those 8 hours can make a world of difference to these young kids who deserve
to have an ally in their education. <b>Our ROTC cadets can be that ally! <o:p></o:p></b></span></p>

<span style="background:yellow;mso-highlight:yellow">We are a non-profit organization that provides free tutoring to children in foster care.</span> Children in foster care start off behind, we catch them up! The WHIT program achieves this goal by training
volunteers, predominantly University students, to provide free tutoring for children in foster care to bring them up to grade level. We have 18 Universities across Texas that have students volunteering with our program.
